JHU Design, Build, Fly

Summary:
The DBF club at JHU is a competition team that participates in the annual AIAA DBF competition with over 100 colleges teams world-wide. In the past, I have worked on airfoil design and flow simulations. In my senior year, I took on a leadership role and led a group of six students to design, build, and test mechanisms to conquer the competition’s challenges. The challenges ranged from dropping foam missiles to towing and releasing a 10ft. banner. I also led another team to develop an innovate rail system to load and unload payload quickly.

In the 2019-2020 season, our team tied for the 8th highest score out of over 100 teams.
